Gayle Forman is a fairly known author, but mostly in the world of teens. Gayle Forman is now known mostly for writing young adult fiction, but that isn’t where she began her career. Gayle Forman got her start in writing as a journalist, where she got her first job at Seventeen magazine. She began her work there by reporting what was going on in the world, and telling the stories of people she had crossed paths with. She remained at her job at Seventeen until she decided to start a family with her husband, and decided that being a journalist was too hard to juggle when you are also a mother, because journalism requires traveling. She began writing her novels while she was expecting her first child, and has been writing novels ever since.†¦show more content†¦The book is a large one filled with stories from the time she and her husband decided to travel the world together. Forman and her husband live in New York, and they went on their trip shortly following the attacks from 9/11. Since Forman got her start as a journalist, the way she writes the vast amount of short stories in the book, reflects her love for the writing style. The stories took place in several different countries. â€Å"My favorite country I visited: India. Least-favorite country: Tonga† (Forman). Along with journalism, Forman fell in love with traveling. As a whole, Forman has travelled to 64 countries, although she didn’t write about all of those countries in You Can’t Get There from Here. Gayle Forman is extremely family oriented, which is why she traded journalism and gave in to her want to start a family after publishing her travel log. The book that really launched Forman’s career was a novel she wrote called If I Stay. The novel was published in 2009, and instantly became a hit, making its way to the #1 slot on the New York Times best seller list. The novel is tragic and beautiful, but is also humorous at times. The novel is about a 17 year old girl named Mia, who is an excellent cello player, and is also obsessed with classical music. The Cask Of Amontillado Analysis Essay - 1247 Words

Within Edgar Allen Poe’s work â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado† a man essentially murders his friend over jokes that were more or less aimed towards him. We as readers were never completely told what Fortunato did to warrant his untimely death, but we do know whoever the narrator was retelling this ‘account’ to, they steadily become aware that what Montresor was taking as insults most likely were fallacious and erroneous claims and most likely were small jests. From the very beginning, we know that Fortunato did not of his ‘wrongdoings’ which makes the happy jingling bells on his cap even more sorrowful and the story continuation from that point is even darker. The way the narrator tells this story is not in the least bit reliable, but his style†¦show more content†¦Irony has a very strong role in â€Å"The Cask of Amontillado† especially when the two men interact with each other, the sly jokes of Montresor such as when he tells hi s companion â€Å", you are luckily met,† when in actuality he was not lucky to have met Montresor at all as he plans to kill him in cold blood. The story also explores dramatic irony in the way Fortunato is dressed at the festival he went essentially as a clown or jester, but the entire time it was Montresor who was being pointed laughed at essentially even though at the final half of the story he begins mocking Fortunato’s pleas to be released from the cuffs. The irony placed in this story is very vital it allows for it to be both humorous while keeping the suspense up because the reader knows something is going to happen before the person being told the story knows but only slowly realizes. Another device used in this story is foreshadowing, in which we are given small hints throughout the story of Montresor’s heinous plot against his comrade. He gives Fortunato a classic fake out as he encounters Fortunato out on the town he fakes him out pretending to think Fortunato has a prior engagement he does this twice that he must be going somewhere later on and will not be able to see if he paid a good price for the wine Fortunato’s own eagerness seals his fate even more. Introduction Event management plan is a process of planning festival, ceremony, competition, concert, party or any celebration. Various types of event management can be created like birthday, reunion, marriage etc this planning consist of a proper management which includes budgeting, establishing dates, reserving the place for event and other necessary works (Masterman, 2004). Even planning may include budgeting, group discussion, arranging decor, catering, emergency plans, direct or alternate speakers, coordinating location support etc. Even the event management is also considered as the best way of communication and marketing options that many of clubs and companies use. This works as a communication tool as it deals with various promotional clients that may be asked for musics, live entertainment etc. Project objective The main objective of the event management plan is to provide all sorts of informations to every people, to introduce all types of cultures through out our world, a club named MAEJESTRO have created an event management plan where the event sets to create a nationalism and revealing all different cultures of all countries present all over the world. Not only this is the main factor of the event, it also shows the unity among all countries present in the world, it plans for showing all beautiful heritages present then introducing all types of cultures, creativities, foods, songs and even all types of languages present all over the world. It organized a complete relationship and memoranda of the world (Whitford, Dunn and Cooper, 2013). Project Scope The scope of the project is just to create a complete festival based on merging of different culture present all over the world. I organised an even of one month in the month of February and i will continue till the end of the month. Chief guests and famous stars of different countries will come and gather to persist the live show. Event planning also includes budgeting, create dates and alternate dates, contasting and reserving the event site, acquiring permitt and alcohols permits, insurance licenses, coordinating transportation and parking all things are done in a proper manner. Throughout the time the event will take place all the day and all the night for that the passes are made for the show.
